初一年级英语语法的冠词知识点

　　(一)定冠词

　　定冠词the与this , that , those同义，指特定的人或事物，具体用法如下：

　　1.用以特指某(些)人或某(些)事物

　　2.用于指谈话双方都知道的人或事物

　　3.第一次提到过的人或事物用 a或an，第二次再提到要用the

　　4.用在序数词和形容词的最高级前

　　5.在世界上独一无二的事物前

　　6.表示演奏乐器时，乐器的前面要加the.

　　7.用在姓氏复数前表示一家人或夫妇二人

　　8.用在普通名词前构成专有名词

　　9.用在表示方位、方向的名词前。

　　10.用在海洋、江河、湖泊、山脉、海峡、海湾等地理名词前

　　the Pacific Ocean theYellow River

　　11. 与某些形容词连用，使形容词名词化，代表一类人或物

　　the poor the rich the good

　　12. 用在某些固定的短语中

　　in the morning in theafternoon go to the cinema the way to on the left

　　(二)不定冠词

　　不定冠词a, an 与数词one 同源，是泛指人或事物中的“任何一个”的意思。只能用在可数名词单数或集体名词前。a用于以辅音音素开头的单词前，an则用于以元音音素开头的单词前。具体用法如下：

　　12.固定词组中 go to school go to bed in hospital at home after school at noon at night

　　注意：有些短语有和没有冠词的意义大不一样。

　　In front of在…(外部的)前面 in the front of 在…(内部的)前面

　　In hospital 住院 in the hospital (因事)在医院

　　At school 在上学 at the school 在学校里

　　In class 在上课 in the class 在班级里面

　　In bed 卧床 in the bed 在床上

　　Go to bed 上床睡觉 go to the bed 在床上
